For the input/output of data and for data communication between programs which execute in parallel, the following interfaces are provided:

• Standard input/output for input from and output to files
• ODBC for input from and output to databases
• DDE for the exchange of data between PACE and parallel-executing programs
• Connection of any other desired programs via C/C++ API and DLL

Initial parameters for the simulation, for example, are fed from an Excel table or an Access database and the results restored again after an optimization run. They then can be represented as graphics and moved to overhead transparencies.
