What is PACE?

More about PACE

PACE is a software tool for the development of simulation models for almost any type of process scenario, such as business processes, production operations or logistical systems. With PACE, one of the few remaining options for reducing or optimizing production and administrative costs, namely optimizing the design and handling of business processes, can be elegantly visualized. PACE offers new possibilities for experimenting with processes to recognize potential savings and to optimize process costs under the individual restrictions at hand. To this end, the processes are transferred one-to-one to a functionally-identical simulation model which can be comfortably dealt with on a computer.

The "PACE models" then provide a view into the dynamic behavior of the system and its components. Not only can an existing process be analyzed this way, but the effectiveness of planned measures (changes or completions of individual components) in existing processes can be examined, judged and optimized before implementation without any risk.

PACE is also a universal tool for the planning and synthesis of new processes. Assumptions can be checked and elements of uncertainty judged during the simulation. Faults can be spotted early and with considerable cost savings, because, as is well known, it's all the more economical to remedy development faults, the earlier a fault is discovered.

Real process steps are represented exactly in PACE, so inconsistencies or missing elements are already discovered at the modeling stage. This promotes understanding of the connections in an existing real system, and results in more efficient behavior of the employees in the business.

Processes which have already been implemented can be improved on an ongoing basis with PACE simulations. Unexpected or undesirable results often occur in regular business operations. Only the problem, not the reason which caused it, is usually visible. With PACE, possible weak points can be uncovered early, so that fault diagnosis accelerates enormously and production losses are minimized. Thus, A potential future problems (for example, so-called "bottlenecks" in production operations) can be defused preventatively.

PACE thereby increases the quality of system processes and provides important work data for risk management and operations control.
